Drivers Education School

If you have a valid Driver's License and have not attended in the last two years, you may be eligible to attend Traffic School.

At the Judge's discretion, he may allow you to go to Traffic School in lieu of other forms of sentencing on moving violations such as speeding (less than 25 mps over posted speed limit), Running Red Light, Running Stop Sign, etc.

If the Judge allows you to attend Traffic School in lieu of other forms of sentencing, upon presenting Certificate of Completion, the traffic ticket in nol-prossed by the court.

The Judge may also assess mandatory Traffic School as part of your sentencing.

You may not request Traffic School if you posses a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

ETA DRIVING SCHOOL (ON-LINE)

The cost is $150.00

The ETA Driving School is designed for drivers in Alabama. We use the standard Alabama Drivers Handbook for the test. You may read the book on-line, or you can print it out and do open books test. There is a link on the Driving School web page that will allow you to access the Alabama Drivers Handbook.

After completing the driving school with a passing grade of 70 or above you will be sent a Certificate of Completion. You will then mail your certificate to the address above along with a money order in the amount specified by the court.

WHY TAKE THE DRIVING SCHOOL
The average fine and court cost is $225.00. There is a small savings in the amount you would have to pay but most of all, your ticket would be dismissed and there would be no points on your license. Therefore, you would not see an increase in your insurance premiums.

PASSING GRADE
You must make a grade of 70 or above to pass the Driving School. You must pass-to get your certificate. If you take the test and fail, you will be notified of your grade at the end of the test and all test answers will be erased and you can start the test over. You may keep taking the test until you get a passing grade. There are 30 questions on the test; therefore, you must get 21 answers correct to get a passing grade.

The above link will allow you to sign up for the Driving school and you pay a $35 driving school fee plus a $2.00 credit card fee by PayPal . After you have successfully registered, a Password will be displayed on your screen to you. You will now be given the opportunity to download the Alabama Drivers Handbook. You may read the book on-line or print it out You may then log in to take your test.
